Wow! What a fun filled day the primary students of St Michael's had at Blacktown Aquatic Centre for their annual Swimming Carnival for 2012.

Everyone arrived early to make sure nobody missed the bus. From the first buzzer the fun began. Children cheered for their house colour teams. Spectators were amazed and excited as they watched the 50 metre, 25 metre, Individual Medley's and Relays. The races were split into strokes and age groups- all children in races enjoyed themselves, trying hard for their teams "Come on guys, you can do it!" Children called to each other, showing our school spirit.

Novelty events were run by Mr Crowley, which included Noodle races, Soccer dribbling in water and free time to enjoy each others company.

The rain poured down heavily outside, but we were unaffected and already wet!

Thanks to the teachers, parent helpers and organisers on the day, especially Mr Phillips for making this carnival possible.

We are eagerly awaiting the scores to be tallied and also awaiting news about which children will make it to zone.
