Prayers for Nepal 🇳🇵🙏 Our hearts and prayers are with the people of Nepal following the devastating floods. May God bring comfort to those who have lost loved ones, strength to those who are facing unimaginable hardship, and protection to all those affected. May communities come together with courage, compassion and hope as they begin to rebuild. “Do not be afraid, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you.” — Isaiah 41:10 🙏 Lord, hold the people of Nepal in Your loving care. Bring them hope, healing and peace in this difficult time. Amen.

Moving Forward with St Michael’s Social Media 💙 You may notice a few changes to how we share moments from St Michael’s on social media, and we wanted to explain why. We love celebrating our students and school community, their learning, achievements, creativity, friendships and special moments. 💙 As the digital landscape continues to change, including the increasing use of artificial intelligence and the potential misuse of images online, we are taking a more mindful approach to sharing student photographs publicly. Protecting our students’ privacy and online safety remains a priority. This doesn’t mean we’re going quiet! 😉 We’ll still be sharing the wonderful things happening at St Michael’s, including Book Week, sporting events, classroom learning, liturgies, excursions, performances and celebrations. You may simply notice that we are more intentional about the images we share and how identifiable individual students are. Thank you for your understanding and support as we navigate the ever-changing digital world. We want to continue celebrating our school while ensuring our students’ privacy and safety remain at the heart of what we do. Same St Michael’s. Same community. 🌟 Year 2 Learning Adventures! 📚✨ Year 2 have been working hard to become Sentence Superstars! ⭐ Students have been expanding their noun groups, adding descriptive adjectives and choosing precise vocabulary to make their writing more interesting and vivid. ✏️📝 In Mathematics, we have been exploring 2D shapes 🔺🟦! Using tangrams and pop sticks, students have been creating designs, investigating shapes and developing their problem-solving skills. 🧩➕📐 We are so proud of their creativity, curiosity and mathematical thinking! 💙🌟

💃✨ Congratulations, Aleya! ✨💃 We are so proud of Aleya for performing a fantastic Jazz routine at the CSPD CAPTIVATE Arts Factor Dance Eisteddfod, placing an amazing 2nd overall! 🥈❤️ The judges had some wonderful feedback, describing Aleya as having “really impressive skill and strong body awareness,” a “natural entertainer” who “ate up the stage,” and praising her “excellent routine”! 🌟👏 What an incredible achievement and a wonderful opportunity to showcase her creativity, confidence and passion for dance alongside students from across the Diocese. Congratulations, Aleya! We are so proud of you! ❤️💃✨✨
