Today on the 11th of June 2014 we celebrated the opening and blessing of our Nano Nagle Centre for Learning Primary Building.
We were joined with members of the CEO, members of parliament, Presentation sisters, parents, staff, students and special guests.
Nano Nagle said 'in deed not word' and we live by that motto at St Michael's Blacktown South. The lantern is a symbol of the light she shone for those children in poverty and the education she brought to them.
Education and Christ are at the centre of our teaching at St Michaels we aim to Reflect, Engage and Empower in all that we teach and learn.

Savannah from Year 5 proudly represented St Michael’s at the CAPTIVATE Dance Eisteddfod, missing NAIDOC Week celebrations to take part in this exciting event. Competing against a wide range of talented Stage 3 students from across the Parramatta Diocese in various dance styles—such as jazz, lyrical, hip hop and tap—Savannah received a Highly Commended award. Dear Kinder Parents, We look forward to seeing you tomorrow to celebrate our 100 days of Kinder. We have chosen the theme of ‘100 Days Wiser’ to celebrate 100 days of learning. We would love the children to dress up on the day as though they are 100 years old. Just a reminder that only Reservoir road gates will be opened for you to enter and exit the school premises. Due to the weather, our little assembly will be in the creative arts room beginning at 1:00pm and unfortunately, our picnic will be cancelled. You are welcome to take them home early during lunch, as we will be inside the classroom. You will need to sign them out through the classroom teacher. They will have a class list where you will sign your child out. Thank you, See you tomorrow!

A REMINDER from the Parish Sacramental Team A gentle reminder that the sacramental process for Confirmation 2025 commences this week. Parents are invited to attend one of the two first parent sessions for our Confirmation process. Tuesday (tonight) 7pm – 29th July 2025 or Thursday – 31st July 2025 9am Both sessions will be held at St Patrick’s church. This evening inside the church and on Thursday in the Cardinal Clancey Room. A reminder that this Friday, 1st August, we have our NAIDOC celebrations. Students are encouraged to wear red, black, yellow or indigenous print muft clothes. Please ensure students wear closed in sport shoes. Parents are welcome to join us for the Welcome to Country at 9:15am (approx 20 mins). Please note there is no whole school assembly on Friday afternoon. Awards will be given out in classes on Thursday.
